*** This is for private tutoring located in the greater Potomac, MD area. Applicants MUST live in the Greater Bethesda, Rockville, Kensington, North Bethesda, or Potomac, Maryland areas. This is not a virtual tutoring position! ***
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized tutoring for an 8th-grade student in core subjects, with a priority focus on math.
- Reinforce the student's strong executive functioning, study skills, and self-confidence.
- Support homework review and test preparation.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and our office about student progress
Subject Areas:
- Math: Pre-algebra, algebra 1 concepts, geometry foundations
- English/Language Arts: Reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar
- Study Skills & Executive Functioning: Organization, time management, note-taking
- Science: Life science, earth science, physical science
- Test Prep: MCAP and MAP preparation, study strategies

Required:- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong communication skills with students and parents
- Reliable transportation (for in-home sessions)

- Tutoring or teaching experience

- IXL math experience
- Executive functioning coaching experience
